Just an idea to allow users to do a command such as /price to checkout the current buy/sell price of an item.

It's useful if you want to see the selling price of an item but you don't have it.

Or for it to go off the average price the item sells for in the auction house?

    What auction house?

Boycot just use /buy (item) and the sell price is generally half of that.

Essentials can do this you just set it up in the config file and do /worth and it will give you the value of the item(s) in your hand.

You're right. Essentials can do this.

I'm afraid we don't use Essentials on the MC-Market server though.

Any auction house plugin. As for an average price

What are you talking about? This is for the MCM server's shop. The prices fluctuate depending on supply/demand, like a stock market.

Therefore, your going to need to find the average sell price of each item. Or this entire idea is useless

Typing /price can simply get the current shop price of the item, Justis R knows what he's doing, he can do that easily I'm sure. I rated you disagree because I don't think you understand how the shop works on the MCM Server.

That does make sense, your right I don't know how the mc market shop works. I just figured an average could end up being better as prices can fluctuate between player to player trades / selling of items.

You are correct, however if he just wants the current price he could just be given that current price of the item

Our shop plugin is custom made not available anywhere but on the MCMarket server right now, so it would be impossible for you to do this without having my source; which you do not.

Tyler is right, you can get the price of an item by doing /buy item, and the price is half for all items save slimeballs, enderpearls, and a few others which were intentionally offset.

I've already planned on implementing this for convenience's sake though it hasn't been priority.
(Though it will get the current price of that item, not an average; I'm not even sure what you'd average out.)
    Consider this suggestion accepted.

    - Accepted
Do /price <item> to get it's sell value.
    /buy <item> to get it's buy price.
